Will God Bless, or Curse America?

   In the Holy Bible, it is revealed to us that God Himself made an everlasting covenant with Abraham. In the book of Genesis chapter 12 The LORD states "And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed." Genesis 12:1-3. Which category would the current U.S. foreign policy towards Israel fall under?
    Aside from our national sins of immorality; the murder of over 53 million babies, worshiping idols and turning to embrace false gods, as we kick Jesus Christ out of school and the public square, and the politically correct enabling and outleft promotion of the homosexual deviant lifestyle; there stands Israel. Josef Stalin said "America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within." It is clear that the communists, neo-marxists, fabian socialists, progressives, under whatever moniker they prefer to use, have accomplished their fathers' goal of collapsing America from within. If not fully then most assuredly in part, with a genuine forecast of destroying our once God fearing republic and transforming it into the cosmic-humanist whore of the new world order. 
   With all of our collective immorality, and the liberal 'Christians' complicity in not standing up for Truth but rather allowing this take-over from within; what can compare to siding with the enemies of God's chosen people? What can compare to calling God a liar? What can compare to plotting against God Himself, by plotting to give Jerusalem to the enemies of Israel? I would like to examine the Word of God Himself on the matter before drawing a conclusion, lest I fall into the snare set by the obamafied cable pundits who set up straw man scarecrow arguments and never come down from the fenceposts they are stuck on- all the while seeming concerned about "peace." (At whose expense, btw?)
   Firstly, God gave the land to the people of Israel. He made an Everlasting covenant with Abraham.

• "In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:" (Gen. 15:18)
• "And I will bring you in unto the land, concerning the which I did swear to give it to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; and I will give it you for an heritage: I am the LORD." (Exodus 6:8)
•  I made you to go up out of Egypt, and have brought you unto the land which I sware unto your fathers; and I said, I will never break my covenant with you. (Judges 2:1)
• "The land shall not be sold for ever: for the land [is] mine; for ye [are] strangers and sojourners with me." Lev 25:23

  Secondly, the land of Israel is special to God, and the people of Israel are special to him also. The reason being, He keeps His Word ALWAYS. And, they are the people through whom He chose to send His Son Jesus Christ to redeem mankind and save the world from the curse of sin. "...and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed." Genesis 12:3.

•    "For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye." (Zecheriah 2:8) 
•    "And the fear of God was on all the kingdoms of those countries, when they had heard that the LORD fought against the enemies of Israel. (2 Chronicles 20:29)
•    "For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth." (Det. 7:6)
•    "Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance." (Psalm 33:12)

   Disturbingly, Barack Obama has stated his support of the failed "land for peace" approach, saying "Jerusalem will be part of those negotiations." US foreign policy under Obama also makes a stubborn habit of telling Israel that they should not build, referring to the capitol of israel as a "settlement." In Israel's defense Benjamin Netanyahu often needs to state the obvious; "The Jewish people were building Jerusalem 3,000 years ago, and the Jewish people are building Jerusalem today. Jerusalem is not a settlement. It is our capital." Uncommonly true and plain talk from a leader: almost as easy to interpret as the Word of God on the matter! 

   There are many promises and prophecies about Jerusalem's future in God's Word. Seeking His thoughts is always wiser than seeking the opinions of men. Let's look at only a few of the verses from the bible concerning Jerusalem. 

• For David said, The LORD God of Israel hath given rest unto his people, that they may dwell in Jerusalem for ever: (1 Chron 23:25)
• Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee. (Psalm 122:6)
• The LORD doth build up Jerusalem: he gathereth together the outcasts of Israel. (Psalm 147:2)

   Unlike Bill Maher, nothing ever surprises Almighty God. He knows all. The events in Egypt, Jordan, Tunisia? The LORD has foretold the beginning from the end. He has much to say about Israel and in particular the ultimate epicenter of the universe; Jerusalem. Most importantly,  many prophecies are now being fulfilled before our eyes as nations conspire and gather against Israel, and plot to destroy the Jewish nation. 

• They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from [being] a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance. (Psalm 83:4)
• And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it. (Zec 12:3)
• The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel. (Joel 3:16)
• And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth. (Zec 14:12)

   God is so intolerant! No wonder liberals hate Him, because He is Holy and Righteous and Truthful-everything they despise all rolled into ONE. But He is also loving enough to tolerate everyone, in a way...THE Way. Any one who will accept His Son's atoning death of shedding His Holy blood on the cross and ask forgiveness will not be turned away! You see, a Jew already died for His enemies, He died once for all. It is finished. But the persecution of God's people will not be finished until God Himself has brought all of His sheep into the fold.  God have mercy on this nation. For we have been blessed by our Creator, and squandered it all. 
   As a US citizen and as a father, watching the rapid moral, economic, and cultural decline of the country I grew up loving is not easy to live through. My hope is this: If you are a Legislator, State Representative, or leader of any kind; please stand up and speak up for Israel's right to exist and defend herself. And Christians: please pray that our leaders including Barack Obama will come to Salvation through faith in Jesus Christ the Living Messiah. Only then will they respect God's Word, honor God Himself, honor Israel and restore the hope that God will someday again "bless America."
