What Is Christmas?

Most people who celebrate Christmas in America may not realize what they are celebrating - or why!

So what IS Christmas, you ask? It is the time when followers of Jesus Christ choose to celebrate the birth of their Savior; the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the Messiah, who came to earth to redeem lost sinners by sacrificing Himself on the cross, dying, being buried, and who was resurrected on the third day to live eternally. Hundreds of prophecies were fulfilled by Jesus Christ when He was here in human form.

In God's Word, the Holy Bible (KJV) we are told of The Messiah, and God the Father's plan to send His Son to die for our sins.

God's promise to send a Deliverer who will crush Satan:
Genesis 3:15
"And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel."

 God's promise that The Messiah would be born of a virgin:
Isaiah 7:14
"Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel." (Immanuel means God with us.)

God's promise to give His Son, who is also God:
Isaiah 9:6
"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."

John 1:14
"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth."

God's Word says Jesus is The Saviour:
Luke 2:11
"For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord."

Acts 5:30-31

"The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.
Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins."


God is the ONLY Saviour:
Isaiah 43:11
"I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour."

Jesus IS God:
Collossians 2:9
"For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily."


Jesus gave Himself to deliver us.
Galatians 1:4-5
"Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: To whom [be] glory for ever and ever. Amen."

Jesus Saves!
Romans 1:16
"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek."




Phillipians 2:5-11

"Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of [things] in heaven, and [things] in earth, and [things] under the earth;
And [that] every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ [is] Lord, to the glory of God the Father."

That is the true meaning of Christmas! Praise The Lord!!

Bible Prophecy IS Being Fulfilled, Do You Care?

  
   There are things going on in this world that are not common to any other age in the history of earth, other than the time when Jesus was here walking among us. Bible prophecies are being fulfilled at an alarming rate!
    Now, an alarm can serve as a warning, or a reminder that it is time to wake up! When you are packed and waiting for the day of your exiting vacation, or your wedding, or some other joyous event in your life- you hear the alarm and jump right out of bed eager to begin the day! But when you are going through the motions, uninterested, even dead to the senses of life, the alarm brings anger and usually it gets switched off, or put on 'snooze.' But eventually, it will sound again. One of those times it will be too late, if you have somewhere to go you will have put it off too long and missed it.
    Let me suggest that if you have the latter attitude toward the idea of Bible prophecy being fulfilled and the knowledge that Jesus Christ will be returning for His true followers very soon, you are spiritually dead. The Bible tells of MANY people who had a form of spirituality, religious works to do, attending temples and doing many good deeds. But Jesus Christ warned them "Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead [men's] bones, and of all uncleanness." Wow.
   Many people do not know what prophecy is:

• proph·e·cy [prof-uh-see] –noun, plural -cies.

1. the foretelling or prediction of what is to come.
2. something that is declared by a prophet, especially a divinely inspired prediction, instruction, or exhortation.

• Commitment to divide the Holy covenant land of Israel, including Jerusalem.

    And this month we have learned that Israel has made a huge discovery of OIL in their land!

    This is a crucial development in world events that will set the stage for a future war that is prophesied in the Bible,  in Ezekiel Chapters 38 and 39. But, unfortunately, another war prophecy may be fulfilled first, that of Psalm 83, and possibly the book of Obadiah.
    These prophecies speak of Israel's enemies coming to destroy them as a people. Never before has there been so much hatred for Israel than right now; especially within the Islamic culture. Their stated goal is the destruction of Israel. All of the 'revolution' in the 'arab' countries are setting the stage for this hate to boil over. The Muslim Brotherhood, if in control, will carry out their vows to make war upon Israel. They will try, but they will FAIL! It is written.

   Barack Hussein Obama has already abandoned Israel, told them they can't build in their capital city, traveled around the globe giving speeches to promote the religion that calls for their destruction. If he messes with Israel any further, as Mr. T. used to say; I pity the fool. And I fear for our once great nation. God will judge us as we judge them.

    It is my prayer that America would repent and help it's ally, Israel. Otherwise we could see the worst disaster in America's history; the New Madrid fault line split; mother of all earthquakes. It could split us in two,"literally" (as Joe Biden likes to say.) it would submerge the midwest, possibly killing millions. We are not immune from the scenes of China, Haiti, New Zealand, or Japan. The U.S. Government will be conducting drills in the event of this catastrophe this May. They are preparing.

  He was telling his disciples one of the signs of His soon return. It is a two-fold warning; not to be deceived by the false teachers, and that in the last days when we see this happening; He is soon to return. 
   In todays "politically correct" world, it is considered insanity to call someone a false teacher. This would imply that there is a source, a teacher of absolute Truth! Liberals are "absolutely" sure there is no such thing.  Sounds crazy? Ha! It must be you! You should tolerate everything- even damnable lies and heresy!

Will God Bless, or Curse America?

   In the Holy Bible, it is revealed to us that God Himself made an everlasting covenant with Abraham. In the book of Genesis chapter 12 The LORD states "And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed." Genesis 12:1-3. Which category would the current U.S. foreign policy towards Israel fall under?
    Aside from our national sins of immorality; the murder of over 53 million babies, worshiping idols and turning to embrace false gods, as we kick Jesus Christ out of school and the public square, and the politically correct enabling and outleft promotion of the homosexual deviant lifestyle; there stands Israel. Josef Stalin said "America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within." It is clear that the communists, neo-marxists, fabian socialists, progressives, under whatever moniker they prefer to use, have accomplished their fathers' goal of collapsing America from within. If not fully then most assuredly in part, with a genuine forecast of destroying our once God fearing republic and transforming it into the cosmic-humanist whore of the new world order. 
   With all of our collective immorality, and the liberal 'Christians' complicity in not standing up for Truth but rather allowing this take-over from within; what can compare to siding with the enemies of God's chosen people? What can compare to calling God a liar? What can compare to plotting against God Himself, by plotting to give Jerusalem to the enemies of Israel? I would like to examine the Word of God Himself on the matter before drawing a conclusion, lest I fall into the snare set by the obamafied cable pundits who set up straw man scarecrow arguments and never come down from the fenceposts they are stuck on- all the while seeming concerned about "peace." (At whose expense, btw?)
   Firstly, God gave the land to the people of Israel. He made an Everlasting covenant with Abraham.

• "In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:" (Gen. 15:18)
• "And I will bring you in unto the land, concerning the which I did swear to give it to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; and I will give it you for an heritage: I am the LORD." (Exodus 6:8)
•  I made you to go up out of Egypt, and have brought you unto the land which I sware unto your fathers; and I said, I will never break my covenant with you. (Judges 2:1)
• "The land shall not be sold for ever: for the land [is] mine; for ye [are] strangers and sojourners with me." Lev 25:23

  Secondly, the land of Israel is special to God, and the people of Israel are special to him also. The reason being, He keeps His Word ALWAYS. And, they are the people through whom He chose to send His Son Jesus Christ to redeem mankind and save the world from the curse of sin. "...and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed." Genesis 12:3.

•    "For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye." (Zecheriah 2:8) 
•    "And the fear of God was on all the kingdoms of those countries, when they had heard that the LORD fought against the enemies of Israel. (2 Chronicles 20:29)
•    "For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth." (Det. 7:6)
•    "Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance." (Psalm 33:12)

   Disturbingly, Barack Obama has stated his support of the failed "land for peace" approach, saying "Jerusalem will be part of those negotiations." US foreign policy under Obama also makes a stubborn habit of telling Israel that they should not build, referring to the capitol of israel as a "settlement." In Israel's defense Benjamin Netanyahu often needs to state the obvious; "The Jewish people were building Jerusalem 3,000 years ago, and the Jewish people are building Jerusalem today. Jerusalem is not a settlement. It is our capital." Uncommonly true and plain talk from a leader: almost as easy to interpret as the Word of God on the matter! 

   There are many promises and prophecies about Jerusalem's future in God's Word. Seeking His thoughts is always wiser than seeking the opinions of men. Let's look at only a few of the verses from the bible concerning Jerusalem. 

• For David said, The LORD God of Israel hath given rest unto his people, that they may dwell in Jerusalem for ever: (1 Chron 23:25)
• Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee. (Psalm 122:6)
• The LORD doth build up Jerusalem: he gathereth together the outcasts of Israel. (Psalm 147:2)

   Unlike Bill Maher, nothing ever surprises Almighty God. He knows all. The events in Egypt, Jordan, Tunisia? The LORD has foretold the beginning from the end. He has much to say about Israel and in particular the ultimate epicenter of the universe; Jerusalem. Most importantly,  many prophecies are now being fulfilled before our eyes as nations conspire and gather against Israel, and plot to destroy the Jewish nation. 

• They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from [being] a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance. (Psalm 83:4)
• And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it. (Zec 12:3)
• The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel. (Joel 3:16)
• And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth. (Zec 14:12)

   God is so intolerant! No wonder liberals hate Him, because He is Holy and Righteous and Truthful-everything they despise all rolled into ONE. But He is also loving enough to tolerate everyone, in a way...THE Way. Any one who will accept His Son's atoning death of shedding His Holy blood on the cross and ask forgiveness will not be turned away! You see, a Jew already died for His enemies, He died once for all. It is finished. But the persecution of God's people will not be finished until God Himself has brought all of His sheep into the fold.  God have mercy on this nation. For we have been blessed by our Creator, and squandered it all. 
   As a US citizen and as a father, watching the rapid moral, economic, and cultural decline of the country I grew up loving is not easy to live through. My hope is this: If you are a Legislator, State Representative, or leader of any kind; please stand up and speak up for Israel's right to exist and defend herself. And Christians: please pray that our leaders including Barack Obama will come to Salvation through faith in Jesus Christ the Living Messiah. Only then will they respect God's Word, honor God Himself, honor Israel and restore the hope that God will someday again "bless America."
   

Who Is Jesus Christ?

"Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice."

Jesus Christ describes Himself;

Take five minutes out of your busy day to read His words for yourself. Will you call Him a liar, a madman, or LORD?

"I Am the bread of life" (John 6:35,48,51).

"I Am the light of the world" (John 8:12).

"Most assuredly I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM." (John 9:58).

"I Am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved" (John 10:9).

"I Am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives his life for the sheep." (John 10:11,14).

"I Am the resurrection, and the life: he that believes in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever lives and believes in me shall never die.” (John 11:25).

"I Am the way, the truth, and the life" (John 14:6).

"I Am the true vine" (John 15:1,5).

"I Am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty." (Revelation 1:8).

"I am Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last" (Revelation 1:11).

"Fear not; I am the First and the Last" (Revelation 1:17).

"I Am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts." (Revelation 21:6).

"And behold, I AM coming quickly, and my reward is with me, to give to every one according to his work. I AM the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last" (Revelation 22:13).

"I Am the Root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star" (Revelation 22:16).

Our glorious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, to whom we have trusted our eternal souls, is more than just a great religious teacher who was martyred for His faith long ago. He is alive on His throne in heaven, having defeated death forever. He was our great Creator, our sin-bearing Savior and will be our eternal Lord and King. If you choose to call Him LORD, realize it is not a name but a title. It means you give Him authority over your life, repent  (turn away from sin) and put your trust in Him alone for your salvation. Good works and deeds are not what get you into Heaven. It is a gift which He paid for, laying down His sinless life, sacrificing Himself to a brutal death on the cross, paying our penalty for the sins of the world. He said: "I lay down My life for My sheep,...I lay down my life that I may take it again. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father." That is why He is called The Lamb of GOD.
Do not deceive yourselves - Seek the Truth, no matter where it leads you. "If ye continue in My word, then are ye my disciples indeed. And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." Jesus Christ is The Truth. Only Jesus can save, and make you free.
